Sen. Caroline Kennedy, (D-MA)?????

Did Caroline Kennedy opt out of contention for the U.S. Senate in New York, once held by her uncle, RFK, because she knew she would not be picked? Or, is she setting her sights for the U.S. Senate seat in Massachusetts, once held by her dad, upon the death of Uncle Teddy? If she had the seat in NY within her grasp why would she want to set her sights to Massachusetts? Well, consider this...

Ted Kennedy has held the MA seat since 1962. He has a huge staff of Kennedy loyalists. If she fills Hillary's seat, she has a staff of Hillary loyalists, many of whom didn't want her and may be partial to someone challenging her in 2010.
